How to Make Friendship Bracelet Edible Letter Beads

Unfortunately, I could not find candy letter beads. If I were in the business of candy/sprinkle making, this would be at the top of my list. Since we can’t buy candy letter beads, we will just have to make them! Here is what you need to do:

  • Pick up a pack of candy eyeballs and a black edible ink marker.

  • Next is the tricky part, you will need your candy eyeball to stay in place while you write letters on them. You could use a pair of sanitized tweezers, mini tongs. I taped two wooden bamboo skewers the distance of a bead apart to hold them in place while I added the letters. Then just flip the eyeball over so you have a clean white bead to write the letters on with your food safe marker.

  • Write the letters – it may take a few tries to figure out how to get the candy to stay still while writing but you should get the hang of it

Warning: the writing may bleed if you refrigerate the beads. I used store bought pie that weren’t required to be refrigerated so it wasn’t a problem for me but if you need to refrigerate your pies, the letters may bleed.

How to Decorate Mini Pumpkin Pies With Candy Friendship Bracelet Letters and Beads

  • Unbox your pumpkin pies
  • You may want to lay out your letter design before adding them to the pie.
  • Add the candy letter beads and then add the sugar pearls or other shaped candy decorations as the beads surrounding your letters.

Just repeating this in case you missed it above: Warning: the writing may bleed if you refrigerate the beads. I used store bought pie that weren’t required to be refrigerated so it wasn’t a problem for me but if you need to refrigerate your pies, the letters may bleed.
