This reindeer and sleigh holding hands ornament is too cute not to gift. It’s perfect for a teacher Christmas gift card holder. It would also make an adorable gift for a friend or boyfriend/girlfriend or secret Santa. The sleigh can be used to hold any type of small gift so the options are endless.
This first option I made is the “naughty” version (even though I don’t feel having a mini liquor bottle to mix up your favorite holiday cocktail is, in actuality, naughty.) The second option I made is the “nice’ version with a gift card and chocolates. These are the supplies you’ll need to recreate these gifts:
Supplies to Gift This Hand Holding Ornament
Supplies Needed for Both Options:
- A plate or hard surface to place it on. You could use a candle with lid, a disposable plate, a small tray, anything to give it a little stability. I used a small wooden serving platter from this set since it seemed like something the recipient could use again.
- Hot glue and hot glue gun – I used this to glue the ornament to the plate and the mini bottles to the sleigh. It can later be pulled off. I tested it and it didn’t damage the wooden platter.
Additional Supplies for The Liquor Bottle Option:
- Mini liquor airplane size bottles of the recipients favorite liquors
- If you want to add the stickers I used on the bottles, you’ll need a printer, this sticker paper and the free printable from this Mini Liquor Bottle Favor post. You could also just print it on paper and glue them to the bottles.
- Adorable hats and scarves to dress up the mini liquor bottles for their cold sleigh ride
Additional Supplies Needed for The Gift Card Sack Option:
- Gift card of your choice (optional)
- Candies – I used Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Snowmen
You can customize this gift to the recipient. Fill the sleigh with small goodies they’ll love, add a little warm and fuzzy note, and you have the perfect thoughtful gift. Happy Holidays!!
