Camping Gift Idea for Kids and Teens

Planning a camping trip with kids and teens? Here are some great gift ideas to keep them entertained and engaged in nature!

Here is everything I added to the gift bags along with a Canva template for the camp flags so you can edit them to fit your family name. I varied each gift based on age and male/female: (click bold links to shop)

  1. Rubber Snakes: Perfect for imaginative play as well as pulling pranks on parents.
  2. Trail Mix: A healthy and tasty snack that provides energy on the go. Customize trail mix with nuts, seeds, dried fruits, and a touch of chocolate for a fun treat.
  3. Mosquito Repellant Bracelets are cute and practical.
  4. Bouncy Balls are always fun to bounce around or play catch with. I picked some up at Dollar Tree.
  5. Nature Scavenger Hunts for the younger campers as seen in this post.
  6. Selfie Scavenger Hunts for the teen and tween campers as seen in this post. Offering a prize for completion will boost participation.
  7. Flashlights: Essential for those nighttime camping adventures. This was the most-used items hands down. You could even personalize each one (my plan, but I ran out of time.)
  8. Beef Jerky: A protein-packed snack that’s perfect for little explorers. It’s easy to pack and provides a quick meal option during outdoor activities. I picked mine up at Dollar Tree.
  9. Camp Hair Don’t Care hair bands as seen in this post.
  10. Wish Bracelets, you can edit the template to say friends or family instead of cousins. Head to this post for all the details.
  11. Glow Necklaces which are also helpful for locating kids in the dark.
  12. Paper Bags keep the packaging inexpensive.
  13. Cardstock to print the gift bag flags on.
  14. Editable Camp Flag Canva Template so you can personalize it to your campers.
  15. Mini Clothespins to pin the tag to the gift bags. I also clipped the mosquito bracelets to the back of the gift bags with the clothespins so that they weren’t next to any of the food items in the bag.

This is a fun way to welcome all the campers to camp and get them in the camping spirit. You could also use these as favor bags for a camping themed party.
