  • Inflatable Flamingo Drink Float: These vibrant, eye-catching floats are available at many party stores or online. Choose a size that can comfortably hold a beverage.
  • Energy Drink: Pick a flavor that you think your teacher would enjoy. I used the pink slush flavor but the watermelon would match well with the flamingo too.
  • Gift Card: I used Target gift cards since they are usually well received but you could also look back at your teachers favorite things list to see where they like to dine or shop.
  • Paper or cardstock to print the free printable tag
  • Paper straws – totally optional, but I thought it looked cute.
  • Ribbons. I used a 1/4 inch white ribbon to tie everything together a 1 1/2 inch aqua blue grosgrain ribbon, and random ribbons I had lying around in the matching pink color. Sorry no links.
  • Air Pump to inflate the flamingo – or you can just blow them up. I found the air pump easier.
  • Scissors or Circle punch – I use my circle punch all the time to cut out gift tags but you can totally just use scissors. If you print on paper instead of cardstock, go with scissors.
  • Hole punch

How to Assemble the End of Year Teacher Gift Card Holder:

  1. Inflate the Flamingo: Blow up the inflatable flamingo drink float using an air pump or your mouth. I thought the air pump was easier so that you can close the plug before the flamingo loses air.
  2. Insert the Drink: Place the energy drink inside the float’s drink holder.
  3. Print the gift tags using the highest quality print setting.
  4. Cut or punch the gift tag out.
  5. Punch a hole in the top of the gift card
  6. Tie the ribbons, and printable tag to the energy drink.
  7. Tuck the straw in.
  8. Tuck in the Gift Card: I first wrapped it in a little ribbon because the color didn’t completely match the aesthetic but you can skip that part. Slide the gift card into the float in front of the drink.

Your Gift Card Holder is Ready to Gift

This inflatable flamingo drink float does more than just look cute; it conveys a fun, relaxing summer vibe that teachers can appreciate after a long school year. It’s a fun and unique twist on a traditional gift card, making it memorable.
