Supplies You’ll Need To Create This Coffee Bar In A Jar:
Creating your own Coffee Bar in a Jar is fairly simple. Here is a list of what you’ll need:
- A Jar: Pick up this clear glass jar from your local Dollar Tree. It’s inexpensive and the perfect size to fit sample size coffee syrups. The jar I used was about 4 1/2 inches tall with a 4 1/2 inch diameter.
- Sample-Size Coffee Syrups: Add a few flavored coffee syrups to the jar. I picked up this holiday sampler set from World Market for under $10. It has the perfect size coffee syrups to fit in the jar
- Small Packets of Coffee: You can find individual instant or sample-sized coffee ground packets at many grocery stores. I included Starbucks Via instant coffee.
- Optional liqueurs: For those who enjoy a little something extra in their coffee, consider adding mini bottles of Bailey’s Irish Cream, Frangelico or Kahlua. You can find them at your local liquor store, typically near the register.
- Mini hats and scarves. This is totally not necessary but oh-so-cute. I added mini hats and scarves to the syrups and liqueurs to dress them up for the holiday season. You could also use these dressed up bottles for a coffee themed stocking stuffer or a Christmas brunch favor idea.
- Mini Santa Mug Ornament: Top off your jar with a cute mini mug ornament. You can hot glue it to the top of the jar so it stays put but can also be removed from the jar and hung on a tree.
- Hot glue gun – only needed if you’re gluing a mini mug ornament to the top of your jar.
- Ribbon – I used this 2.5″ red and white striped ribbon to dress up the jar.
- Sprig of green, again optional, but dresses up the jar. I linked the one I used a piece of. They are great to add as accents to gifts etc., so I always have some on hand for the holidays.
- Tag: Create a tag that says “Coffee Bar in a Jar.” Here is a free printable of the Coffee Bar in a Jar tag that I used:
