Tea and scones are a perfect combination and come together in this DIY tea themed gift idea. I put it together as a valentine gift idea but it could be used for all sorts of other gifts. See the ideas at the end of this post.
I’m sharing everything you’ll need to put this tea and scone gift together.
Tea and Scone Gift Supplies:
- Scones – If you have a bakery or tea room that makes delicious scones, the easiest thing would be to pick them up for your gift. If not, or if you enjoy baking (me!), you can make your own. I used Sally’s Baking scone recipe and added frozen raspberries.
- Heart cutter– if you’re making the scones yourself and want to gift these for Valentine’s Day, why not cut them out in a heart shape?!
- Mini Nutella jars – Topping the scones with Nutella takes them up another notch. I love mini everything so had to add in these mini Nutella jars. I picked mine up at Walmart but they also have them in a pack of 7 on Amazon.
- Tea bags you can add in your or your recipient’s favorites. If I make these again I’ll order this Republic of Tea multipack because they are individually packaged so pretty and so good.
- Treat bags to package up your tea and scone gift
- Ribbon I used this pretty pink ribbon
- Gold tea spoon. Tying a gold spoon to the top gives the recipient a pretty spoon to stir their tea with but also zhuzhes up the gift bag even more. The spoons I used came in a set with the glass mugs but if you want to skip the mugs, you can order this set on Amazon
- Glass mugs or tea cups – this is optional depending on budget.
Way to Use This Tea and Scone Gift
This tea and scone gift could be used for occasions other than a valentines gift. It could be used as a tea party favor, a housewarming gift, a thank you gift, a tea themed shower gift, gift for a tea lover, or other holiday gift.
