Free Printable Valentine’s Day Activity Sheet

This is a fun clasroom Valentine’s Day party game, Valentine’s activity to do at home or even a Valentine’s day gift for kids. It would be so cute to make a little gift basket with all the supplies for the game along with printouts. This Valentine’s game was a hit with my kids and they give it two thumbs up! Bonus for them: they have candy to eat at the end!

Supplies you’ll need for this Valentine’s Day Activity:

  • Printouts of the worksheet (free printable download at the end of this post)
  • Valentines M&M’s in red pink and white (16 m&m’s per child)
  • Heart shaped Marshmallows -or if you can’t find heart- shaped just buy some mini marshmallows (bonus if they’re pink)
  • Toothpicks
  • Conversation Hearts
  • Hershey Kisses
  • Bags, baskets or buckets to hold supplies listed to go with each sheet
  • Straws – I used reusable plastic valentines straws. Paper straws may not work. I found mine at TJ Maxx but here are some similar Valentines straws from Amazon:

Instructions for the Valentine’s Day Activity

Each child can set up the sheets as pictured (my kids enjoyed that part too.)

Then go over these directions:

As fast as you can when I say go,

  1. Connect the marshmallows or marshmallow hearts with toothpicks any way you want
  2. Using the straw, suck from one end to pick up the m&m’s with the other end and sort by color moving them to the appropriate hearts below
  3. Using the straw. blow the conversation hearts out of the circle
  4. Using only one hand, unwrap the Hershey Kiss

Race to be the first one done! Ready, set, go!

Note: If you bring extra Hershey Kisses, the activity can be repeated for another round or rounds.

I got the inspiration for this activity from stacyjulian.com. She used a piece of licorice for the candy blowing activity which is even more fun, I’m just not sure it would work to pick up the m&m’s. Let us know in the comments if you try that. Happy Valentines Day! I hope your kids/students/classroom enjoy this as much as mine did!
